DVA Home Visit


We provide thorough nutrition assessment and comprehensive reports featuring estimates of energy and protein requirements, drug-nutrient interactions, dietary history, special diets required for the specific medical condition, personalised with list of allowed foods and foods to avoid, preferred foods as well as particular dietary recommendations for intervention for every veteran.

One-on-one Consultation or Home Visit for DVA clients:
 1) commence nutritional status screening using standard malnutrition screening tools appropriate for the particular person
 2) aim to identify individuals’ eating problems that are contributing to the eating difficulties, lack of appetite or the malnourished state
 3) monitor changes to nutritional status
 4) provide appropriate dietary advice
 5) provide printed list of allowed foods and foods to avoid
 6) development of personalised meal preferences and recipes taking into consideration constrains like dentition, prescription drugs (like warfarin, madopar, etc.), personal likes and dislikes, allergies and intolerances, nutritional goals and supplementation requirements
 7) development of a structured personalised seven-day dietary plan
 8) assessing compliance, medical test results generated from routine blood tests, reassessment of existing dietary strategy and trouble-shooting.

This is a special service we provide for the community for DVA war veterans.
